Privacy Policy
Aura Live Wallpaper ("Aura", "the app") is made by KodiFree2505. This policy explains what the app accesses on your device and what it does with it. In short: Aura runs entirely on your PC. It collects nothing, sends nothing and only stores your settings locally.
Information the app uses on your device
- Now-playing information. Aura reads the current media session from Windows' built-in media controls: track title, artist, album, album artist, track number, genres, playback state, position and album-art thumbnail, plus the name of the app that's playing. It uses this only to draw your wallpaper and the now-playing panel. It's kept in memory while the app runs and is never saved or transmitted.
- System audio output. To animate in time with the music, Aura analyses the sound your PC is playing (Windows audio loopback) in real time and turns it into simple loudness and beat values. Audio is processed in memory and immediately discarded. It's never recorded, saved or transmitted. Aura doesn't use your microphone. You can switch this off with the "Audio-reactive" option.
Information stored on your device
- Your settings (chosen style, options and sliders) in
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Aura\settings.json. - If you click "Save current frame as Windows wallpaper", one image (
Aura-wallpaper.png) in the same folder, which Windows then uses as your wallpaper.
Uninstalling the app removes this data.
Information we collect or share
None. Aura makes no network connections and has no analytics, telemetry, advertising, crash reporting, accounts or third-party tracking SDKs. We don't collect, sell, share or receive any personal information, and nothing from the app ever reaches us or anyone else.
Permissions
The Microsoft Store version declares the runFullTrust capability, which a desktop wallpaper needs to draw behind your desktop icons and to read the system audio level. It declares no internet, microphone, camera, location or contacts capabilities.
Children
Aura doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
This website
This site is a static page hosted on Vercel. It sets no cookies and has no analytics. Like any web host, Vercel may process standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site.
